LAUNCH | From Bullets to Ballots by Owen O’Shea

We are delighted to host the launch of Dr Owen O’Shea’s new book, From Bullets to Ballots: Politics and Electioneering in Post-Civil War Kerry, 1923-33. This dramatic story of party politics in the Kerry constituency in the formative decade after the Civil War is published by UCD Press and will be launched by Professor Diarmaid Ferriter. All are welcome to join us at 6.30pm on Tuesday 11th November.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Owen O’Shea has published several books on the history and politics of his native Kerry, including No Middle Path: The Civil War in Kerry (2022) and Ballymacandy: The Story of a Kerry Ambush (2021). He was one of the organisers of the Kerry Civil War Conference in 2023 and has contributed to many publications and media on the revolutionary period in Ireland. He holds a PhD from the UCD School of History.
